My passion is to assist both buyers and sellers in their real estate needs! I offer all of my clients’ personal service from start to finish and have been doing so for 17 years. I have lived in the central Indiana area my entire life and am very knowledgeable about the area. Following my first career in environmental work, I decided it was time to switch careers and be able to work closer to home so I could better balance family life as a wife and being a mom to my two wonderful daughters. My experience through the years has allowed me to connect with so many clients. There is nothing better than assisting your clients in taking the next step in their life journey - seeing the smiles is the best!
2021 marks a new chapter for me - starting my own company and being a managing broker! After 17 years, I decided it was time to go out on my own, with my oldest daughter, to continue the service I have offered but to expand it under our own brand and with additional real estate agents who have the same passion for personal service that I do!

When Melissa is not helping her clients, she enjoys cooking, shopping at Trader Joe’s, being outdoors, traveling, reading, & spending time with my family, friends, and dog– Gus.

I am a native to the Indianapolis area, growing up and attending school in Franklin Township. I continued my education at IUPUI receiving a degree in paramedic science. After college I worked as a paramedic on 911 ambulances throughout Marion County. I have been in tens of thousands of homes across every township of the county, assisting others in their times of need.
After 10 years in EMS I wanted to begin serving the community in a new capacity. Although I continue to enjoy practicing medicine, I wanted to pursue a long time dream of mine to assist others in buying and selling real estate. My enthusiasm for helping others and interests in home architecture and construction help me to connect with clients and provide them with the best service possible.
I was given the opportunity to partner with the Smith Family Realty brokerage. I believe in their dedication to providing clients with personal and professional service from start to finish. I strive to make the buying and selling process easy, comfortable, and ultimately enjoyable.
When I am not transacting real estate or on an ambulance, you will likely find me spending time with my wife and two children, or in pursuit of the perfect cup of iced coffee.

As a mother of three children and a homeowner myself, I understand that your home is more than just a place to live, it is a place where you make lasting memories.
I have lived my entire life in Indianapolis, attending local schools and getting both a Bachelor degree and Master Degree from Ball State University. After college, I spent the first years of my career working in Higher Education, spending 2003-2013 working at IUPUI. The last eight years I have been working at Community Health Network in HR/Training. I am proud of our great state of Indiana and excited about all that our beautiful city of Indianapolis has to offer.
Now I am realizing a dream that I have had for several years and that is to become a Real Estate Broker and I received my license in 2021. I joined with Smith Family Realty brokerage, as I believe that they represent the kind of values and provide the personal client services that are well above any norm and that everyone going through any real estate transaction desires and deserves.
Outside of my career, I am enjoying being an empty nester, spending time with family and friends, visiting the local wineries, or catching local sporting events. In addition, as often as I can, I can be found traveling to visit one of my children (two live out of state) or to one of my bucket list locations around the world. While the kids have grown and moved out, I still have my sweet dog, Fiona and my ornery cat Finn keeping me company!
